The new album is now in production, and to celebrate we’ll be launching it at Rise Records in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire as part of Cheltenham Jazz Festival’s Fringe lineup. From 2pm on Saturday 25th April we’ll be playing a selection of tunes from the album, which we’ve named ‘Webster’ after the recording machine Django Reinhardt bought in 1949.
Across 13 tracks ‘Webster’ features our arrangements of music from across Europe and beyond – some jazz ‘standards’, some by Django Reinhardt / Stéphane Grappelli, and tunes by well-loved (and some lesser-known) composers from 1924 to present day.
